Well. It's finally happened. I have finished all my uni assignments, and handed the last one in EVER. I still have some things to do before our graduation exhibition but that's non-assessable :)
ahh.. all those sleepless nights and long days are finally OVER! :)
(ok so not completely, if i'm going to work in this industry, DEFINITELY not over :p)
but i no longer have a uni assignment again WOOHOOO

but anyway. as this era ends. I decided that I will finally close it up by stopping my blogging here.
leave the past in the past.
plus i'm way more into Tumblr now. hahaha just so much easier.
I've had this since I was in Year 10. and now my education is ending, it would be a good time to seal it all off here. So, I won't be gone juuust yet.
But definitely by February 2011 when I actually do graduate.
This blog will cease to be functional then. :')

did epic amounts of cooking/baking this weekend for photography! am absolutely exhausted.
my arms and back are dying.. and have a photoshoot tomorrow.. wah.. so tired. haha

but my foodie ones turned out pretty so i'm happy :D

epic melbourne

so it finally arrived. the epic melbourne vacay :D
after so many many problems and issues, megford and i finally set off on our adventure! :)
had to rush a few assignments so that i could actually make it on the trip.. lol.. we seriously had so many setbacks i was just so over it already.. but finally, we made it on that budget plane. hahahhaa
view from the plane as we flew over gorgeous melbourne at 6.45am melb time.. reminded me abit of singapore, but we gots taller buildings in the suburb area hahaha

so anyway, we arrived nice and early, it was absolutely freeezing! but wonderful :d
waited round at the airport for abit as we weren't expected at the hotel til 9.30! so we hunted down a maccas to get some foood.. and also found a krispy kreme :d hehe
hopped on the skybus into the city centre soon enough, and made our way to the hotel! :D

our hotel was called Hotel Enterprize, and it was in an absolutely PERFECT location. we were initially going to stay at a backpackers, but i decided it might be worth looking for a budget hotel! i read many reviews of the hotel, and while there were about 1 in 30 good reviews, i decided that all the bad reviewers were whingey little shits, and placed my trust in the good reviews. turns out there was nothing to worry about!

the hotel was great. not 5 stars or anything, but the staff was lovely, they even upgraded us from a budget twin single room to one in the business section at no extra cost! and it was only $68 per night, which i must say is EXCELLENT. but come on people, let's not forget it's only a budget hotel.. haha.. but anyway, we had a nap because we were pretty much dead from the flight!
woke up at about 11am melb time and decided we'd go explore the hood hahhaa
we had a krispy kreme round the corner from our hotel! megford was very happy bout that loool

the hotel was pretty much across the road from the Southern Cross train station, and had tram lines running very close by. once again, excellent location :D we did soo much walking and shopping that first day.. found awesome graffiti laneways, something we don't have (but really need) in Perth! they were absolutely amazing.. also found the shopping/food laneways which had vintage shops and little eateries. stopped in at this place called Little Cupcakes on degraves street; delicious tiny cupcakes for only $2 :D

the architecture in melbourne is so insane. it's absolutely gorgeous.. and soo much art nouveau and gothic architecture, was absolutely killing me! soo beautiful :(

like seriously, photos do not capture their beauty and intricacy and awesomeness.

THE TIM BURTON EXHIBITION :D
this was the very first thing that made us plan the trip to melbourne.. hahha megford heard bout it, that it was travelling to melbourne from MoMa in New york, and we just HAD to go! :d

ahhhh awesomeness :D we picked up our tickets the day we arrived as the exhibition started the next day (really really good idea because the next morning, lines were INSANE)
and we had a squizz round the merchandise store, which was amazing. the ladies told us TB himself was going to be walking the red carpet that evening, so we came back to ACMI to see him!! and we were not disappointed :D only sad thing was, he was autographing stuff.. but we didn't have anything for him to sign :'( arghghghh
we snapped some photos of him signing other people's things.. hahahaha

the next morning, we attempted to wake up bright and early to try and make the signing, but it turns out the people of melbourne were much more well-informed! :( poops. the line was like this huge snake on federation square.. so after standing in line for awhile, we decided to just give up and go for breakfast :( haha
we made it back in good time, just before the exhibition opened :d and stood in line.

the exhibition was insanely amazing. INSANE. all his artwork ranging from his early works as a teenager to little Nightmare before Xmas modes to sketches and costumes from Alice in Wonderland and Edward Scissorhands all up on the walls and on mannequins, every thing he's done basically, was there. it was AMAZING
megford and i were just in awe. completely in awe.
and for only $19, best $19 we've EVER spent. lol EVER I TELL YOU EVER.
after the amazing journey through the dark passages, we came back out and there was this slidey door that they kept opening to let the people who were getting their books signed by TB himself were coming out, and you could totally see him!! so attempted to get more photos of him :d fairly successful bahaha
we then went back into the merch shop, and we bought these epically HUGE TB books. apparently, you can't get them anywhere else except directly from the publishers themselves, and for several hundred bucks! we scored i think, as we only paid 90 bucks for this huuge ass book. i knew i was saving my CNY money for something epic. :D

it is seriously amazing.

anyway, i also bought a pack of cards designed by TB, and some postcards that i will frame for my wall :D man i could've blown all my money in that merch shop.. haha :)

something else that was also epically amazing in melbs, were the graffitied laneways. we stumbled across about 3 or 4 although i'm sure there were many more!
they are insane. graffiti covers every single bit of the walls! enthralling :D
the colours are just so.. wonderful and the art is so great.

shopping in melbourne, also amazing. we chanced upon Melbourne Central, this epically HUGE shopping centre which pretty much had EVERYTHING in one place. 2 food courts, bowling, bars, movies, shops, EVERYTHING. i kid you not.
and there was a random building in it.. lol!

we decided to catch a movie, and the one that had the best timing was Shrek 4! :D
that was awesome. i'd say better than Shrek 3 :D it was hilarious!

we also found this shop called TYPO. epic. amazingness.
had all this stationery in it, beautiful beautiful stationery that any stationery enthusiast/designer would fall in love with so fast.

bought these funny bulldog clips which will come in handy for uni next semester! hahaha
i also got a couple of notebooks for friends, awesome post it like tabs and $5 cardboard speakers, which were completely AWESOME

and my fave buy that we found at this random little asian store!

they are a little awkward to walk round in though because they are so very puffy hahahah
anyway, we pretty much just shopped and ate and slept the rest of the trip.. lool!
we were sposed to hit up clubs and bars but at the end of the days we were just so exhausted from the sheer amount of walking we did! whatever crap we ate just got walked off.. bahahaha no not really i think we ate waaay too much crap! :d but it was good crap. :d

our 2nd last day was spent exploring chinatown!
it was very mixed with english shops and bars so it was like.. so.. are we in ctown? baha but there was some bits that were distinctly ctown.. oh oh and we found Haigh's chocolate!!! NOMS :D
we also found this tiny alleyway bahaha had some fun taking photos in it!

after ctown, we stumbled across this AWESOME bar called the Emerald Peacock. the bartender was so cool (cute cute cute)! megford ordered a raspbellini, which was basically raspberry puree with Moet and Chandon champagne it was DELICIOUS. man i don't even like champagne! haha
and since i was like errrrrmmm wtf i dont know what to drink, the bartender was like .. do you trust me? just say yes. hahahhaa and he mixed up this drink that looked really soft and smooth and pink! lol it was called a French Martini, but it didn't go too well with the indian food we'd had before bahaha my stomach was like WTF WHY ARE YOU POURING ZE VODKA ON ZE INDIAN FOOD GRUMBLE GRUMBLE GRUMBLE
yes. my stomach was talking.
but anyway the interior was AWESOME. so opulent and vintage, and very chic and cool :D peacock wallpaper and awesome vintage lighting and furniture.. so beautiful!
and i love peacocks so i was like OMGGGGG DIEE :D
definitely be returning there for drinkies next time we are in melbourne! :D

our final day finally came, and we were quite sad as we had to check out by 11am.. but we left our luggage with the hotel as our flight wasn't til like 10.45 pm hahaha.. decided we'd go explore the Queen Victoria markets as we had soo much time to kill.. that place was EPIC. so huge, possibly 3 times the size of Paddy markets in sydney! completely awesome :D had to resist the urge to buy more things as our luggage was already about to explode! :o
we just bought a few trinkets lol. how sad. next time we'll be doing ALL our shopping there.. hahhaa oh the lessons we learned. oh and we're also buying more luggage weight allowance. both of us were 2kg over and had to pay $30 each. hahha
after that we decided to head back to melbourne central to catch a movie, and we watched Get Him to the Greek! :D totally. hilarious. man it was absolutely hilarious i was lol-ing all over the place, just dying of laughter! bahaha, it's super inappropriate but soooo funny! :) definitely recommended to those over 18.. hahhahaha
anyway we decided it was nearly time to head back to the hotel to get our luggage, but not before going to the Transport bar on fed square for our last meal :d
had some delicious steak and chips with garlic prawns.. soo good. but we shared as we weren't all that hungry!
also stopped by KK to bring it back to perth hehehe..
oh and how sad, people can identify whether we're from Perth or Adelaide because we have these bags of KK -_- the skybus driver was like.. soo.. perth or adelaide?

damn you perth for not having KK. hahaha
but anyway, the trip was so amazing. i just can't believe it's come and gone.. all that waiting and anticipation. now i have nothing to anticipate but another semester of uni. bleghh
on the bright side, last semester EVER :d but oh man there's gonna be some hard times ahead.. argh. i think i'm just gonna die under the workload! lol hopefully i can carry my mad organisational skills from this past semester into the next! i can only get better, i hope. bahaha
but anyway back to melbourne
it's just such an amazing place. i'm not completely sure if i'd drop my life in perth to move there as i have no idea what their suburbia is like.. i wouldn't mind living in the city though! god knows how expensive that would be though :o insanity.. but now that i've been there, it's definitely a consideration for me if i found the urge to move.. haha.. i mean Perth is where home is; i didn't miss "Perth" as much as i missed just having a house to come back to everyday..
but melbourne is amazing.. i never wanted to move to sydney, or any of the other capitals, but melbourne is definitely on my list of possible places now :)
i love you melbourne! can't wait to visit once again :)

i think i might have left my heart there :D

just got back here from spore, where i spent my easter.. and a week :p for my study break. not so productive study break though.. kinda regretting not doing much cos now i'm super behind!
so when i decided to go home for easter, the rents neglected to tell me they actually had plans to go to CHINA. what.
haaha so after my tix were booked, they're like OH HEY we're actually not gonna be here most of the time you are, cos we're gonna be in CHINA.

so on easter sunday, i invited ze friends over for dinner! :)
cooked up a storm wooohoo i love cooking :D
i served up steak, with black pepper sauce or my epic mushroom sauce, mashed taters, roast broccolli and warm pasta salad :D pretty yums if i do say so meself!

decided to make Easter cupcakes! Hamz and Jerri did most of the decorating and the putting of batter into the cupcake papers. hahaha

i looooved every minute of her concert, it was just so theatrical and OTT but AWESOME

the sets, costumes, lighting, music, EVERYTHING was simply indescribable. i think i actually nearly cried when i first heard her singing because i was so overwhelmed by the power of her voice. it was such a tremendously crazed, awesome experience..

so taking another step back to more than a month ago when i went to one of the most EPIC music festivals, Soundwave 2010!
There i got to see my FAVE band ever, PARAMORE. :D

it was doubly amazing because somehow i ended up in the freakin' moshpit for it.. hahahaha
so it was a mixture of pure elation, happiness, disgust, tremendous HEAT and sweat.

the heat was absolutely terrible that day, got epic sunburns hahaha
it was like 39 degrees, with very little wind, and blistering hot aussie sun. i think lots of people couldn't take it, including me, but all to see Paramore perform :d

Paramore was unbelievable live; Hayley is just like this little explosive fireball of energy, can't believe she could still freakin' dance around and sing like she did even though she was like in direct view of the sun..

got awesome pics, and was kinda near the front.. nothing compared to what i was feeling when i was there.. i was surrounded completely by strangers, but all united in harmony at seeing Paramore perform live :d

i had originally bought tix to Soundwave to see Paramore and My Chemical Romance, however MCR pulled out at the last minute because Gerard Way was having vocal problems..
but NO WORRIES because Jimmy Eat World was the replacement act, and they were AWESOME! I didn't know alot of their songs initially, just their more popular ones, but they were AMAZING live! :D

The only songs i knew were Bleed American, May Angels Lead You In and The Middle, but they did have other pretty awesome songs :D I really enjoyed Takes My Pain Away :D
some other bands I saw that day were Taking Back Sunday, Alexisonfire (who were surprisingly good live!) & All Time Low.. I heard Placebo from afar, and also watched AFI from afar :d
AFI were awesome too! although I really only know one song and that's Miss Murder hahaha.. i went home after J.E.W though i was just feeling sooo sick.. probably heatstroke.. haha bit sad i didn't get to catch HIM. and I was abit too late to catch Shinedown! :(
but i did get an awesome Soundwave 2010 shirt and a wicked Paramore shirt!! :D
so far, 2010 has probably been one of the most epic years of my life EVER. got to see 2 of my fave performance acts.. and i'm going to see RUSSELL PETERS live in MAY!! OMGGG fave comedian EVER :D he makes me lol so much i can't freakin' WAIT!! it was sposed to be in March but he got cast in some sci fi movie so they shifted all his concert dates.. no biggie though, spreading the epic love through the year! :D and another epically amazing thing this year will be a week long trip to Melbourne with Megford and Bron!!! :D i JUST CAN'T WAIT! :D

went to heathcote to see the year 12 boarders before their year 12 ball! everyone looked purty... man it's been so long since i left school! insanity..
went this year because madz's sister was attending :) she looked so pretttyyy.. she was in year 8 when we graduated.. time has flown so fast..'
they got a red hummer limo! it was totally freakin' awesome.. check out the interior!

met up with Denise in orchard road today!! hehe!!
i love meeting up with Oz friends in diff countries :D we were both running late, but i got to Somerset 313 first.. and couldn't resist walking into the bloody four storey Forever 21 shop!! omg. it is simply. amazing. pricey.. but amazing. hahaha.. well the accessories and stuff are affordable! it's just shoes. clothes. bags. which will kill your wallet.. hahaha
bought myself a light brown woollen knit beanie.. man i love beanies.. haha! i would've bought one in every colour! now if only i was rolling in the cashhh.. :p
after walkin round somerset 313 (which was pretty awesome imho :d) we headed to the heeren! but that place is now like a ghost town after all the new shopping places have sprung up in orchard road.. we were pretty much the only people there :s lol..
we settled on this random japanese italian fusion restaurant on the top level.. decided to be adventurous and not go for the typical Sakae Sushi/Mcdonalds option.. ahahah..
but oh boy did we regret.. hahha

the interior decor was kinda cool.. had all these plastic plates with plastic food in little round windows lining the walls.. coooll..

anyway we eventually settled on dishes which did not seem too exotic.. haha
wanted to try the potato salad.. so we did. haha and it was alot more onion than potato.. like.. ALOT more onion.. haha the mayo is deceptive..

but didn't taste too bad despite being surrounded by onions.. haha
and we decided on some ice cream floats to cool us down.. :D

we were met by a blast of salt to our mouths.. because that's literally what the pasta tasted like. salt. pure salt. it was so salty that it was sucking the water right out of my system and i was just left this dehydrated mess the rest of the arvo.. lol... made me feel soooo nauseous.. but i had to force myself to chow it down.. not that cheap a meal! :( damn waste of money.. we could've bought shitloads at Old Chang Kee and been happy and satisfied.. lol
after that disappointing, but filling meal, we headed over to Far East Plaza.. good ol' FEP.. you're my fave/cheapest place in Orchard Rd.. :D
saw this random shop, i think Audz would love it! :D the decor inside is soo awesome.. wanna decorate my room to look like it!! :D

here's my feet.. they were dying by the time we hit up wisma atria, had to sit for awhile.. lol

decided to get a couple of turquoise hair extensions!! :D been looking for a hell sick colour the whole trip and just found them today.. :D

we watched Spy Next Door yesterday too, with Jackie Chan, that was awesome too! actually liked it abit better than Tooth Fairy.. haha i missed a bit of Tooth Fairy because we went out a few minutes in to buy popcorn and a hotdog as i was starvingg. haha.. but both fun movies.. probably coulda saved Tooth Fairy for dvd though IMHO..

soo as you might possibly know, vinipoo came to visit from malaysia!! :D
after many many years hahaha she still owes me more visits :p
butttt anyway, here's the first of her visits to singapore!! hehe
she stayed for bout a week? and we had lots of funsiess :)
the 2nd day she was here we went to Sentosa with friendles :) good times good times

one of the days vinpoo was here we went out with a couple of our friends from Perth! :D one of them studies here, and the other was on a layover from Heathrow :D havent' seen both of them for ages!! :D we went to some Egyptian place on Hajj Lane? or Haji Lane.. can't remember.. but the chicken shishkebab was SO GOODDDD.. i'd go back there for that :D

we went to this other place after dinner because they had some cheap beer offer too, and well they wanted to drink beer.. it was hell cool inside but i didn't get a photo.. hahah here's a random lamp tho :d i think it's kinda cool........ hahaha

just went to watch Avatar in 3D again, because Vinipoo said she wanted to treat moi :d hahaha
but man.. it just got so much more beautiful the 2nd time round.
it's seriously a stunning piece of cinematic artistry.. it's like.. a masterpiece..
i'm so in love with Pandora.. haha.. and i really like the score too! it's absolutely gorgeous.. gonna find the soundtrack and buy it! :D and definitely getting the dvd.. sad that i don't have a blu ray player because it would be so freakin' stunning in blu ray..
i really don't know how you could not think this was a fantastic movie.. sure it goes for a wee bit too long, but it keeps you entertained, there's hardly anything boring! well not too meeee.. i'm so enchanted by the planet.. hahaha.. if i celebrated halloween i would so go as a Na'vi person! ahahhaa.. the first time i went and watched it i was feeeling really sick, and didn't help that the dude sitting beside me reeked of cig smoke.. bleghh.. and the 3D glasses weren't doing a whole lot to help how i was feeling.. but 2nd time round i managed to last without removing the glasses (except when i took them off to scratch my nose.. they were making my nose a lil irritated hahha) .. pandora is so beautiful though.. why can't earth look like that!!!!
their creatures are quite abit scarier looking than earth's though.. hahaha..
anyway.. i just wanted to say that, it's definitely one of the most stunning movies i've ever seen, and probably up there now in the top 10 of my fave movies EVER. :D

after that, my cuz dropped me off at a train station nearby.. HOWEVER. things did not go as planned from there! haha it turned out that the STUPID FREAKIN TRAIN LINE WAS NOT IN SERVICE ON NEW YEARS EVE. now what kind of stupid transport system does that on one of the busiest nights of THE YEAR. so after about half an hour of failed taxi waiting, EVERY SINGLE ONE THAT WENT PAST WAS BOOKED OR ON CALL. i called dad and he came and picked me up and sent me to another train station, one that WAS functioning. haha..
however, with less than half an hour to spare before countdown i was rushing like MAD!!
i didn't make it to clarke quay before midnight.. in fact none of my friends made it there in time for countdown. ahhahaa.. next time my dears we will leave ALOT EARLIER. hahaha
anyway, after all the nonsense and rushing, and getting pushed round by the NYE crowd, finally made it to our traditional NYE spot..

so the other day, when we were having dinner @ BBQ Chicken (Jerri's choice.. terrible service, muddled staff but food was ok i spose, nothing spesh.. won't be back for good service)
we saw this stall selling shoes outside! and guess what we found.. :D $8 white canvas high tops (sort of high tops) :D :D

so the next time we went to Popular bookstore.. i hunted down some fabric paints.. which was pretty easy cos they had this gianormous shelf. :D

got 4 colours and 2 paint markers.. these are a wee bit pricey so i had to choose carefully.. but now i dunno what design i should paint on the shoes!! i have to be very VERY very sure that it is what i want. hahahah.. ahh decisions decisions.. at least i have a sort of holiday project now..
anddd i also got my 2010 diary from there! it's totally one of my fave shops in spore..
it's a totally awesome diary/organiser though.. the cover is soo wicked.. and i like the yellowed pages :D

i can't believe the year is ending already! soon it'll be new years eve and then 2010!
such a big big year to come :) however, xmas just went by so quick, and now i must blog about it or ..... ok well nothing will happen even if i didn't but HEY HEY i have photos, thus must blog :D
ANYWHO
we just had our annual xmas eve family/friends party @ our house :)
usual food, usual people, overload of A&W root beer.. hahaha
i cut my thumb in the morning and couldn't really help out much with the food. i managed to chop some things before cutting said thumb though :) and i also felt quite sick for a good part of the afternoon/evening. lovely, LOVELY, xmas eve.. however once all the guests were here and the xmas food was out i sorta felt a teensy bit better :)

finally used Carrot's bday present!! a voucher for a manicure :D interesting experience.. haha it was all fanciful, not like the other manicure i had in high school! :) just chose a really simple colour, didn't want anything to vavavoom :d

watched 2 great movies on the plane!
Mao's Last Dancer and 500 Days of Summer
Mao's was soo incredibly beautiful & great, and it nearly moved me to tears in so many parts.. the lead guy dances sooo beautifully it was amazing.. and he had this childlike innocence and mannerism, but not in an immature way.. it was such a heartwarming movie, and you could really feel everything.. unc rob gave me the book for my bday so i shall be reading that these hols! :)
500 days of summer was so cute, unexpected and sweet.. totally unlike most other boy meets girl movies. and had a wicked ass soundtrack! wanna get my hands on that.. and i LOVED the lead actor in it.. hehe.. sho cuute.. :D :D
and i like the quote: colour my life with the chaos of trouble . :)
all in all, had an alright flight.. :) except for this air stewardess who was quite rude.. like her tone of voice and the way she looked at moi.. i was just like OK LADY WTF IS YOUR PROBLEM. GAH. and she was perfectly nice to everyone else!
i could totally write in an official complaint about her, but i shan't.

aiight well this post is like. wayyy more overdue than charms's 18th and new moon stuff cos it's from all the way in SEPTEMBER?!

well i was too busy at that point to do any blogging :p but i did take photos and HERE THEY BE :D
ANYWAY
it was very very last minute, and quite possibly fatal to my uni passing streak :p (but hopefully.. not? ;p) but ze family took a trip to SYDNEY! :D haven't been since 2004 i think, with school for our canberra trip? and haven't been since 2000 with the family; went for the Olympics! :D
we only went for a couple of days/ a week this time.. first and foremostly for my uncle robert's 60th birthday party! which was bollywood themed :D mother had fun buying indian garb for her and jer and dad, but i drew the line and just settled for a long dress.. and shawl to make a faux indian outfit.. hehehe.
you ain't never catching me in a sari!
but i do love bangles :D
but that's another matter, anyway, we headed off to sydney in my one week "tuition free week" break ;p mother and jer met us there from singapore; me and papi took the plane from perth..

arrived nice and early in the morning.. eew. ahaha.. and we got in a taxi and picked mother and jer up from the international airport! the domestic airport is SOOO nice.. lol :d totally beats perth's Dom airport which pretty much sucks.. then headed to our hotel, which was Holiday Inn Darling Harbour! :D
had breakfast at the restaurant while waiting for rooms to be ready..

room still wasn't ready so we left our luggage with the luggage people (bahaha their name escapes me) and went to PADDY MARKETS! :D which was literally a stone's throw away from our hotel. which was just freakin' amazing/awesome because it's my fave place in Sydney!!!
its kinda like a slightly more expensive Bugis Street in Singapore, and I can't really compare it to any place in Perth.. lol but i love it :D
anyway, at round 11 our room was ready, so in we went! :D

anyway, we also went to watch WICKED @ the Capitol Theatre, which was pretty damn close to our hotel.. come to think of it our hotel was in a pretty awesome location, and it wasn't such a bad hotel! the rooms were just slightly kitsch-y, but oh well.. hahhaa
anyway WICKED. it's name TOTALLY describes the show itself.
it was such an AMAZING MUSICAL. totally my idea to go see it cos i knew it was doing it's run in Sydney! mother was like.. hmm ulterior motive to go to sydney hey? :p
it had a gorgeous set, beautiful music and the actors were absolutely fabulous and talented!
we all loved it! and HAHA mother really loved it.. i told her it was gonna be awesome! i would totally go back and watch it again! :) i recommend if you ever get the chance to watch it, GO GO GO it will totally be money well spent! :d it's soo entertaining, touching, hilarious and totally awesome. ahh i love it.

anyway Uncle Robert's 60th :) it was held in an RSL Club function room which was pretty cool..
it was really random though; despite the bollywood theme, the food was totally Aussie.. hahaha
e.g. lamb/beef/pork roast, and roast potatoes and stuff! hahaha
there was this indian dance troupe which was the entertainment for the evening! they were completely enthusiastic and fun to watch.. they also gave "lessons" to the guests..

FINALLY CAUGHT IT. :D
at the Singapore Gala Premiere. all thanks to the fabulous twilightsingapore.com and their lovely new moon festa!! which was a blast :D
so that is what i shall be blogging about first and foremostly.. :d

the theme was masquerade! my 21st birthday party theme -_- hahaha
it was decided 2 years ago man. :p
i decorated a gold mask so it was Volturi crest themed. and Jerri's.. just purple themed.. hahaha
aren't we cool? :p

anyway, this time round, I made Jerri, Char, Iz and Hamz come along!! :D so we could win tix to the premiere!! :D last year i went to the twilight one alone.. but had some new twi friends there too though so it was ok.. hahaha.. and the seats were HORRID last year. this year EVEN MORE SO. but on a side note, NEW MOON WAS SO MUCH MORE AWESOME THAN TWILIGHT.
i can't begin to describe it. and i really cannot wait for Eclipse!! :o
ANYWHO. i also decorated the masks for C, H and I. :d
hot glue gunned them onto sticks though, because the masks are very squeezy on the eyes.
had a blast in spotlight -.- trying to hunt for stuff.. :p
anyway.. on the the NM Festa.. :) it was AWESOME. smaller than last years though? i think many people were too busy to come, but hey, they are the ones that LOST OUT. :)
it was a fun evening of quizzes and comps.. we won lots of stuff GO US! :D
we totes won sooo much New Moon merch! i have a bag, 1000 piece EDWARD puzzle, bookmarks, keychains, a tshirt (only says new moon tho :p) and magnets! :D gotta love it!

honestly, i was not TOO impressed by TWILIGHT.
Despite the fact i can watch it over and over again. :p
but NEW MOON JUST TOTALLY BLEW MY BRAINS OUT WITH ITS AWESOMENESS ZOMG.
it was just SO much cooler. and that's not even my fave book!? they did such an amazing job, ESPECIALLY CHRIS WEITZ.omg. have i not said how much i LOVE him.
the score seemed a little repetitive but it was pretty.. soundtrack worked well, but i still adore the twilight soundtrack much more! :d so much more OOMPH. + there's paramore :p
cinematography was GORGEOUS. twilight was very blue.. new moon was like COLOURR
and ZOMG. Volterra. Red. EVERYWHERE. AWESOME.
TEAM VOLTURI. i love them. omg. just wish they had longer screen time!! :)
even the acting was better.. :) i LOVE ALICE CULLEN she's adorable! :)
and the werewolves were schmexyy :d
and the CGI was like. AMAZING. i totally need a new word for amazing..

OH and one last thing. Graham Greene as Harry Clearwater. such a comic relief. sooo cute.. so sad he had to die in this film :(

WELL FINALLY :) after a good 2 weeks.. haha :)

blogging about charm's 18th birthday! :D which, although was EXTREMELY last minutely planned, went off without much of a hitch! :D
it was seriously only planned properly the night before.. hahaha but it was a blast either way! i don't think it'd have been any different if we'd planned it two months in advance.. hahaha :) but there you go, we're the last minute queens and kings.. hahaha
so me, izyan and (supposed to be) hamz were assigned the baking of the cake, while char's lovely bf seemed to be taking care of everything else! lol -_-
started a wee bit too late methinks.. but it wasn't TOO bad i guess :) hahaha
decided on a blue iced brownie cake. which was fabulous IMHO. but SOOO sickening. hahaha
so the party was held at the Scarlet hotel; my most FAVOURITEST HOTEL EVER. it's a boutique hotel in Chinatown, it's in an old shop house building, but the interior decoration is absolutely FAB. and it's black red and gold theme, which is just to die for.. it does have a reputation of being a more.. couples.. hotel.. hahahaha but MEH it pretty. i like it. and the party was gonna be held there. :d that was our plan A, we ended up with about 5 different plans, and were absolutely stoked that plan A was chosen and worked! :d
so, we arrived at the hotel pretty late, poor dan (c's bf) had to keep her entertained somehow and she was getting restless at some random place near the hotel.. we quickly put up very simple decor, and decked ourselves out in glowsticks.. which were a very good idea come to think of it, she loooves glowsticks! :D anddd we brought on the confetti spray. NOT SUCH A GOOD IDEA. ahahaha the carpet was in a right state.. so much crap everywhere!
i really hope the hotel staff could clean it up properly :S
so Dan brought Char into the hotel with her eyes covered, so she kinda missed out seeing the beauty of the reception area, but i do believe she went back down after :)
she was REALLY REALLY truly surprised. hahhaha lots of screaming/squealing ensued when he said to open her eyes! and of course she was met by shitloads of confetti spray :D

oh wowsers i have neglected this blog since september! hahahaa been so super busy..
but GUEESSS what it is now officially HOLIDAYS :D and I am back home in Singapore :D WEEEEE
was really really rushed though because i left pretty much the day after i handed in my last assignment.. and was packing the whole day before i left.. badness. shoulda started packing yonkies ago! :p but now, i am here. its wonderful. despite icky weather.. at least i has aircon at home :D
got so many things to look forward to right now i am so super duper excited. :D
for one.. New MOON is out SO SOON. OMG. WOW. it seems like just yesterday twilight came out.. actually hahha maybe not, it feels like ages since it came out.. feel like i've been waiting an eternity for New moon.. even though they've given so many clips out already its like half the movie.. hahaha but OMGWEE it is COMING :D
and twilightsingapore's new moon festa. god i love their events. totally part of the reason i rushed back home :D
and also seeing dear friends and family.. speaking of friends it is charmain's 18th birthday this friday YIPPEE :D

well, i'm just here to update! :D
uni has started, and i think i'm about to start drowning in work, so i won't be updating for a couple of weeks at least!
went to the student edge preview screening of Bandslam tonight! it was pretty damn good. :D not the BEST movie ever, but really touching, with cute music and it was quite funny at some points.. i laughed alot anyway! the lead actor was so awkward and dorky but it was like awww.. cos he was such a nice dude.. we got free Curtin slap bracelet things and a red Curtin footy! how random.. hahaa and they were giving away these skateboard thingos! :o god i love studentedge.
uni's been ok.. it's only 2nd week, but the work is piling on. and it's starting to kick in that i only have about 11 weeks of actual uni left. so i best get started on stuff!! i have been pretty good though, doing work everyday :D i'm proud.. hopefully i can keep it up. hahaha

sooo on Thursday, mother et moi went to catch Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince! :D
after so many many many months of waiting since the delay, I was bouncing in my chair in anticipation haha.. it was so crowded, damn school holidays.. full of children (well, mostly tweens & teens) and their guardians.. lol. thank god it was just me and mother so we found good seats together up the back so we wouldn't have aching necks.. hahah

well, my verdict is:
it was brilliant!
that is, if i don't compare it to the book.
because if i did, it wasn't that great in being absolutely faithful to the book.
but then, i have stopped comparing books and their movies, because otherwise, you're going to ALWAYS be disappointed with something. you're going to nit pick at everything until you get frustrated. and i don't want that. so i simply regard them as two different things.
so there's the AWESOME Harry Potter book series, and then the okay versions of the series in movie forms.
so as a movie, HBP was brilliant. effects were good, i liked the script & the acting has become significantly better.
i absolutely adored Jim Broadbent as Horace Slughorn, Emma Watson is just beautiful, she's a great Hermione, and Rupert Grint was just hilarious. Also some new members to the cast include the actors who portrayed Tom Riddle in his younger years.. LOVELOVELOVE Hero Fiennes, who was young Tom in the orphanage, he was simply excellent. and the other bloke who plays the older Tom in Hogwarts is really good too, I was not expecting such a low voice to come out of his mouth! lol. Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy was disturbingly trembly and nervous, well portrayed, extremely well done.

The scene i felt was truest to the books, was the Potions class scene.

it was brill. :)
EXCEPT WTH ARE ROMILDA VANE AND HER FRIENDS DOING IN A 6TH YEAR POTIONS CLASS?
they did add in some scenes which were like hmmm, yeah no.
i shan't write any spoilers yet.. lol in case someone stumbles across here and then reads them and tries to kill me.
but there were epic fail moments, and epic win moments, as there should be! tears welled up in my eyes a couple of times.. and the ending of the movie could've been done ALOT better IMHO.
but overall, it really wasn't THAT bad, I don't know why people keep harping on about it... some are treating it as though it's like the crappiest movie in the history of time, and i'm pretty sure it's NOT.

Sooooo.. (:
not much has been happening lately.. because i've been down sick! =(
was down with this irritating sore throat on tuesday, and then got really bad on wednesday.
tonsilitis! =( and a real nasty case..
i haven't been down with tonsilitis since bloody year 9..
mum flew back from spore to look after me.. hahaha.. i had not much of a voice and was just so weak she got really worried..
aww.. haha
anyway, went to civic video today, and got some movies to keep me entertained while i rest off this nasty tonsilitis..
and finally got the Underworld trilogy out! :D
it's pretty damn good. i'm watching the second one as i type.
it's really interesting, the sets are amazing and so are the SFX! the SFX are spectacular.
and Kate beckinsale is so stunning..
it's really gory though, lots of shooting, biting and bleeding since it's a vampires vs werewolves thing! hahaha.. and the werewolves (Lycans) are so goddamn ugly, they make the only New Moon wolf we've sen so far look like a tame bunny rabbit. and the hybrids are pretty creepy too..
but storyline is interesting, characters are awesome and there's lots of adventure and suspense.

the vampires are all evil/sexy looking hahaha, so very unlike the Twilight vamps.. and these vampires look very human until they unleash the "vampire" in them, then their eyes turn this bright piercing blue and their fangs come out! lol. good disguise!
and i've never really known a vampire to bleed.. or cry.. haha but these ones do! haha.. everything bleeds, and the werewolves and vampires shoot at each other with guns.. lol. very odd, but very cool too! they use like ultraviolet capsule bullets and silver nitrate capsule bullets. super awesome. :D

ok well that's enough rambling on about Underworld.. haha
i might be going to see Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince with mother tomorrow!! :D if i'm well enough of course.. haha i just can't wait any longer!! been waiting since last bloody november!! *cough cough warner brothers delay*
and it looks so good! i stopped watching all the exclusive scenes that leaked online, but still continue to get very excited everytime i see a TV spot while watching masterchef. :D
speaking of masterchef, i'm newly addicted!! :D
i can't wait for the finale!! :D i hope Poh wins i love Poh!! :D

RESULTS DAYYYYY
i woke up at 8 to get ready to head to uni to collect my final essay :S
and just before i left megs rang and said results were out!
oh nooooooo
i was already gonna leaaave.. haha
anyway i sat in the bus wringing my hands in despair.. i knew that i didn't fail anything cos apparently people receive you have failed letters! LOL
so thank god for that..
anyway, as soon as i got to uni i grabbed a hot choc and muffin (cos it was freeeezing) and went onto the library computers.
soooo yeah...
expected crapshit marks on the most part, however was pleasantly surprised by one design in context, which gave me the only HD for the semester! lol.. hmm surprise.. lol. next came VIS COMM with 71. scraped in a Distinction =D lol woooyeah.. seriously, it was my 2nd best score. how weird. lol. i was complaining and complaining the whole semester, it was the sole cause (okay maybe not SOLE cause) but for the most part, the cause of my grief and strife and stress.
but i scraped through. haha.. can't have done very well on my manual though =\
oh well.
next in was typography with 68 (meh, didn't put all that much effort), image tech 62 (not much effort really), and photography 59 (NONE whatsoever).
so all in all, i deserved the last 3 crap shit marks because the top 2 marks were the units i put the most effort in.. haha.. safe to say my efforts were spread abit thin among the last 3, but really, i'm just glad i've achieved "Good Standing" for this semester =D i would've absolutely HATED to have repeated any units.. argh.
so overall, one HD, one D, two Cs and one P..
only a P for my fave uni, how dismal. LOL can't say i deserved better. i put no effort in whatsoever! =\ next semester, i will. hahaha
however, my day was made slightly better, after i went to collect my context essay!! =D

sooo, went out friday night with some friendles to Freo! =)

2 days til i get my results too!! i am kind of fearful, yet jittery with anticipation. i hope i at least scraped the 50% mark for each unit man.. or i'll just pass out & won't wake up. because i figured i actually did try to do my best.. arhghhgh..

i woke up at 6am, and left the house sooo early to leave for the perth train station for the 92.9 em & sam mac show!! =) i used my weird FM radio ear piece thing to keep track of what was going on, but the signal was terrible, and then i didn't get any on the train! so i missed like most of sam mac's reluctant review of twilight.. although i'm pretty sure he said it sucked. ahh never liked him that much anyway =p hahaha em is such a huge twilight fan now, since she watched it on the plane! she's definitely not one of the oldest fans though.. and sam just didn't like twilight, and he was bagging on jacob's hair just as gil birmingham arrived.. hahaha so not cool sam!

gil played guitar and sang for the crowd, for a minute or something, and i attempted to video, EXCEPT, dumbass aka me, forgot my camera SD card and i could only get a short 15 second clip. although i'm pretty sure that the 92.9 folks had video cameras.. so oh well. :)

it was freeeezing, but worth it to catch a glimpse of one of my fave Twilight dads =D
and he's just so excellent as billy.. (:
i got pretty dodgy photos cos i didn't wanna use the flash and distract them while they were doing their thing =)

and after he was done, he so nicely signed people's books..

yet ANOTHER thing i was unprepared for. i left Eclipse at home in my drowsy state :( BOOO.. i coulda got an autograph.. ): *sniffles.*

but oh well. i managed to get a pretty shaky picture with him, but it is a picture nonetheless!! =p i look quite gross though.. bleghh for early morning puffy eyes and face.. EEW.awww.. yayy billy black! =)
and even though i am Team Edward all the way, i did like that Gil was wearing an I RUN WITH WEREWOLVES tshirt! =D so cute.. hahaha.. might get one for Moe for her bday, since she is strictly Team Jacob. =D

Ok, so like this post should have been done like FOREVER ago.. hahaha but you know, uni & assignments.. finally, some time to breathe.

butt anyway, here's the post from the Presets gig @ Challenge Stadium i attended on the 9th of May! haha =D
soo, it was me, meggy, mads and her bf who attended, and it was ssooo super freakin awesome!!! =D
like majorly.. they are absolutely fantastic live, and i would so spend the money to go rock out to them again! =D totally awesome.. but maybe when they have new music.. hahaha =) they had a wonderful stage presence, and the lights were just amazing, bit trippy, but still extremely amazing. the photos i took don't even capture their awesomeness!

wicked lights.. i think this was a wee bit later into the concert, possibly after the first 2 supporting acts..

speaking of supporting acts, the first one, i don't even remember what they were called, but they were not incredibly good.. the 2nd supporting act however was amazing!

they had the sickest beats out, and everyone was just rocking out hard to them.. and every song was so individual and awesome.. they were called Bag Raiders i think, and they had this wicked, energetic stage presence..

i took videos of them when they were performing my fave songs like This Boy's In Love & My People.. =D My People's up on youtube.. =D they're pretty good live, smashing i must say in my opinion, and i think everyone who attended would agree it was a pretty damn awesome show! =)
so this was possibly the best 70 bucks i've ever spent! =D hahaha =)
we had lots of funn dancing and singing along and snapping photos of course =D always a photo op at these things =p lol..
still wish i got to see lady gaga, but Presets were so awesome, i don't mind that i missed her..

Ahh this is such a procrastination post.. lol
i saw yet ANOTHER cat in our garden.. it's like the 5th one. if you include socky haha
it was lounging round on our non-functional BBQ..

it saw me with the camera and lay down in this pose! lol. didn't run away like the others.
s'been a week full of assignments, eew.. but i managed to finish one! lol it's shit as though, but i really don't care anymore.. all i need is 50%.. it's gotta be worth at least that!! lol
did photography on tuesday with mads and moe. =D turned out alright.. i've still yet to put it all together so i'll let ya know how that goes lol
and i made my front cover for the folio and work journal, that turned out nice =D

there was lots of ketchup involved.. my jumper was just like soaked in ketchup. cos i wanted to die first! but then maddi didn't end up dying cos moe only wanted the minimum.. so we just ended off with like a final "dramatic shot" of maddi running away and ben chasing her.. supposedly, the story goes "maddi was never seen again" hahaha
and lastly, us in the car after we were done =D
anyway.. best skip back to my photog assignment!!
i still have a crapload of annotation to do.. oh boy..
i'm good at researching, but boy do i pay for that when i have to annotate shitloads!! =( lol

despite the horrible cloudy day, and terrible lighting, we managed to get some fairly okay shots to show the transition between architecture to portrait. lol. i wanted to take the buildings beside this building because they were so much more aesthetically pleasing, but there were freakin' food stalls and stuff in the way?! lol
damn ground was covered in bird poops. and the bricks/stones were not a very nice colour so i had to use curves to balance it out abit.. but still not a nice colour. ahhh well

Ahh, just some random updating!
it is currently very late, but i am organising some stuff due tomorrow. haha

was watchin twilight on my itouch @ uni during a 3 hour break a coupla weeks back! i had to stick it in my hat though, cos of the glare. oh yeah! my silicone cover arrived today! so it's nice and protected now.. but it's got oh so many scratches already =( boo

whoa squealing angsty fangirls REALLY need to tone down, and shove gigantic chill pills down their throats! There's like a 99.9% chance that NONE of them are going to be Mrs Taylor Lautner. and they all go around bad-mouthing poor Selena. even with all the glamour and funness of their industry, i'm pretty sure celebs could really do without the paparazzi and squealy fangirls/bois sometimes. the two of them may just be good pals hanging out, it's all just speculation right now.. i really can't stand whiny fangirls who think they stand a chance with celebrities.. somehow i don't think that even if they had a chance to meet with them, the whole breathlessness and over-smiling and squawking and gawking would just really scare away the celebrity rather than attract them! it would be kind of like they were an animal in a cage, with all the humans looking in and screeching at them to do something interesting.

well, today mads, moe & i were sposed to head to cott so moe could do her photography assignment! BUTTT maddimoo had to back out last minute, due to a last minute assignment she had, so moe and i were just gonna do it by ourselves. lucky thing meg wanted to get out of the house, so moe had a better subject! =D lol

had to read 3 chapters of my context reader tonight, because i neglected to do so on my two week break, as i was busy with other things. and OMG i nearly died, my brain nearly imploded.
i hate kitsch and camp. i don't even UNDERSTAND what camp is. who is the person who came up with camp nonsense?! if they probably weren't already dead, i would have liked to kill them!
or at least inflicted some pain onto them for making my brain spin and whirl like that!

tis a 2nd generation one, so it has speakers!! and it is fully awesomeeeeeeeeee
the fajja finally caved. lol. actually he was just excited cos he got himself a tiny laptop with good specs for only $300, and probably on a technology shopping spree. =D WOOOO i love my itouch.
i haven't yet named it though. lol.
and i'm severely paranoid about taking it out with me because it is currently nakey.
as in, has no silicone protection or plastic sticker thingo for the screen. since it was a surprise buy, i couldn't order the stuff in advance from ebay. lol.
never again will i buy ipod accessories in shops. hehe. everything is so overpriced.
but the bad thing about not having the protection is that the silver back bit is gettin rather scratched already =( and the screen is insanely oily and smudgy. so i have to keep cleaning it constantly. =(
otherwise, my itouchy works awesomely. =D
and i loooooove the apps!! <3 tap tap revenge and trace.
& i have uploaded some movies into it too, unfortunately the file size was prepped for my tiny screened ipod, which i still love. haha. =)

After watching Susan Boyle's Britain's Got Talent audition, (which was absospiffingly spectacular!) I've started listening to Les Miserables songs on youtube again.

Went and caught this at the cinemas today with audz:

was pretty damn hilarious, a wee bit lame but overall pretty funny :)

we were pretty much surrounded by the elderly folk though, and we were, or perhaps it was just me, laughing the loudest in the whole cinema. the elderly folk only twittered quietly a couple of times.. and i don't mean Twitter. lol :P

maybe the jokes were distasteful for them? lol but i didn't think they were.. hmm

it was just all-round funniness and hilarity.

i may have just made up some words just then.

before that we went and visited meggy! :D she was bored out of her mind at work.. hahaha

after the movie we just walked around the shops for awhile, got an awesome deal for Ferrero Rochers :D $9 for the 30 pack booyahh.. gonna give those out for Easter :D lol

also got an FM transmitter pack for m'ipod, but i can't for the life of me find any AAA batteries! lol. really gotta clear up my room..

moe came and picked up her Twilight dvd :D pre-ordered it from s'pore and my lovely fam friends who are staying with me brought it back, along with a crapload of my stuff i left behind :) hahaha. more stuff for me to jam into my closet.. gahh. need a walk-in robe, stat!

my borders exclusive Twilight dvd set has yet to arrive, however the website told me i should only expect it after April 13. sooooooooo long. still earlier than the aussie release date though! :)

Well, i thought, whilst i am procrastinating, i may as well post about this movie! :)
Went and watched this on wednesday with audz!
been waiting for freakinever to watch this, since i am an avid fan of the book series!

i gotta say, it got lots of negatory reviews, but i thought it wasn't too bad!
in fact, i thought it was rather good :)
it kinda held its own, not exactly the same as the books in many ways, but capturing the essence of the story just as well. and Hugh Dancy as luke brandon woooo i love him
hahaha
Isla fisher as becky bloomwood was quite entertaining, she really does have excellent comic timing.. some of the outfits she was wearing were abit out there, but i don't think becky bloomwood would've been wearing very simple understated things anyway! hahaha
and Suze's bridesmaid dress was GODAWFUL. it was very.. circus-ish clownish. good god

but i totally forgot about the Denny & George scarf from the book!
so glad they decided to keep it in the film!
because it is absolutely stunningggg & i'm in loooove with it.
its in my favourite shade of green/blue. but this picture doesn't show the right colour!
it's my absolute most favourite colour and it was just so stunning in the movie.

i wants ittt..
god i'm such a shopaholic.. haha
but i would never get myself 12 credit cards.. that's pure insanity. hahaha
i wish i could just splurge sometimes.. but you know, these hard times aren't suitable for that kind of behaviour.. plus i don't have any money! hahaha

Just had the most stressful weekend!

since i had to go to S'pore for a week, I was soooo behind on uni work.. it's incredibly difficult to do my work in another country. and i missed George like mad!

stupid damn pc laptop is so frustrating now. i gotta switch to a mac laptop now. hahaha

any excuse will do. :D

anyway.

i had a grand total of 7 hours of sleep from saturday night - monday morning. which is just wonderful considering we're supposed to get about 8 hours every night.

lol

but at least i got my typography finished! and that's over with now. my photography was ~~really~~ scratch that EXTREMELY suckish but there's not much i can do when i can't book the studio out or take flash kits with me to another country. oh well..

i was like a zombie by 4am monday morning, and had to get up at 6.30. oh the joys.

so now i'm still really bleary and am in much need of rest. just thought i'd pop by since i haven't written anything for awhile!

caught this with audz when i got back (the first time) from Spore! :)

was a really sad story, i didn't cry, but it was so heart wrenching at times.

it was beautiful though.. and dev patel was awesome :D i love him.. he has a british accent :D hahaha

the little kids were so damn cute, and performed wonderfully in the movie! so cute and sincere

you know what irritates me.
the salespeople who are all up in your face when you go into their shop.
like can't you just leave me to browse in peace without trying to pull out all sorts of random ugly shit and trying to tell me it would suit me. especially when they are all ugly sack-like dresses and tops which i know for sure wouldn't suit me. just because other people won't buy them, doesn't mean i will.

ok so really, i've only had this one experience. so i should scratch that and change it to salesPERSON. haha.
usually other people are nice, and just greet me nicely and politely. but this woman was just.. omg my brain was just going to explode with frustration. she was sorta kinda rude about it too.

Caught Push yesterday!
I thought it was pretty cool.. but my rents didn't seem to think so. hahaha
but it was so open-ended.. so maybe there will be a sequel? i loved the SFX in it though.. storyline was abit random. like i feel it could've maybe worked better? but some of it was quite tricky, which made it awesome :D haha and DAkota Fanning was pretty good in it :) I'm quite happy she's joining the Twilight cast :D well, i should say New Moon cast now. haha

finally over.

So, yeah you're a good writer and all. you've sold god knows how many books and they've been made into movies blah blah.
but everyone has different tastes, and S.M. just happens to cater to those people!
I personally don't enjoy your books.
But I love S.M.'s.
just because you don't like her writing doesn't mean she's bad. that's YOUR opinion.
who gave you the power to tell people if they're good or bad?
I say, it all lies in your ability to tell a story.
if you told a story, captured and warmed millions of hearts and sold a gut-busting number of books (and made into record breaking films), i'd say your story has to be pretty good. i think this power is what makes a good writer.
but that's just me. some people who write stuff that seems like incredibly boring drivel to me, may be a good writer to someone else.
if S.M. weren't at least a fairly good writer, her books would never sell and her stories would never have been told.
And don't compare JKR and SM.
SM never wanted to BE a writer, whereas i'm pretty sure JKR always had.
and JKR's writing is simply phenomenal.
and they also write DIFFERENT stories.
JKR chooses adventure, magic, friendship.
and SM chose romance.
totally different categories.
so it's not fair to say that SM can't write worth a darn.
because her books have their own different spell-binding appeal. the story draws you in, and it's not only pre-teen girls and mothers who enjoy these books.
her's is a story loved by millions of people.
and that's something you can't take away.
