OMG
ok...............
my head is totally spinning off into another dimesion right now.
for 2 reasons:
1: i sat wayyyy too close to the screen, my head and neck are in soooo much pain. and my eyes are so strained.
2. i just watched TWILIGHT!!!!!!!!!
:D
YES i did finalllyyyyy
the premiere was @ Shaw Lido, and that theatre is super super GIGANTIC. it's like the size of 4 hoyts/ golden village cinemas. i spose they use it specially for premieres? lol. it's like crazy huge.
but here are my thoughts on the movie which I've been waiting sooo long for!
and in case, i don't know how/why but, in case anyone who hasn't seen it comes across my blog, I will just give a list about the pros and cons of the movie, so as not to make it so spoiler-ish.
FOR THE WIN :D :
*sparkly edward!! i thought this was beautifully executed
*stephanie meyer's cameo :D lol! i totally thought she was just goin to be in the background, maybe even a little out of focus, but then BAM! there she was right in the foreground :D
*CHARLIE SWAN =D
* ALICE CULLEN :D (her and charlie were cast SO excellently)
* Bella's human friends
*1st bio class. edward's facial expression makes me want to die laughing. (which may or may not be positive, but it's ftw in my books :P)
*VAMPIRE BASEBALL!! sooo cool.
*Ballet studio scene :D
*Cullen's kitchen scene! :D
*Charlie & his rifle :D
* Alice's visions. Tres cool :D
* Death stare between EC & JB @ the end!
* awesome Twilight tshirts we got!! hehe.
NO DEAL :( :
* Random scenes which weren't really in the book
* Movie kind of moving a little too fast, missed out some important linking moments :(
* dialogue sometimes kinda randomly placed into random scenes.. dialogue could've been tighter.
* strange hopping vampire movements.. ??
lol.
anyway, i tried to watch this movie with the mindset of a person who has never read the books, or barely knows what the movie was about. which is a little hard considering i've nearly read Twilight a good 10 times. but i was trying not to let the inner fan girl come out to squeal.
and sometimes it just seems a little strange. as interesting as it was, it kinda transitioned a little weirdly. but i must say, it was a pretty good book adaptation, dialogue-wise, a little cheesy.. but the book was you know, just a little cheesy too.. :P
so overall, it wasn't:
it was purely just:
lol.
but RPattz does an excellent job of playing a really really tortured edward.
i just wanted to give him a hug and tell him it's ok, it'll all work out!
hahaha
he looks like he's in so much pain it's kinda disturbing. lol
but it's an awesome movie, especially with the budget they had!
i'm now just interested to see what the new director can bring to the table.. the 2nd movie would be in need of some mindblowingly awesome big budget CGI.. among other things of course. and i hope the script gets a little less cheesy.
there were some funny moments though, so kudos to them on that.
mostly, i'm just so glad i got to see one of my fave books EVER on screen.
i mean Harry Potter movies are AWESOME but they just don't have the loveydovey stuff Twilight is made of :D actually it's not exactly loveydovey.. haha maybe just love.
plus HP movies had wayyy HUGER budgets than Twilight did.
but i love what they did with what they could..
and the soundtrack does fit awesomely well with the movie! impressive..
:)
and i love how all the crazy Twilighters have either Paramore's Decode or I Caught Myself as their ringtone :D
(yes, of course i'm one of those people. What did you expect from me? :P)
